The FAA frequently requests additional documentation to clarify medical or legal history (i.e. medical progress reports, pathology reports, lab results, arrest reports, surgical notes, etc..) AFTER a completed medical exam. A pilot can physically mail these to the FAA however, it can take 30-90 days for them to process.
